When ever I am looking at downloading an app I always look at the reviews of customers that use the app. In Informant’s case there are a lot of 1 and 2 star reviews which would make me not download your product. One review states “Support no longer responds” Why would you download a product that the developers don’t support. I don’t understand why you would send out an email about the product but won’t support it.

Sort by multiple criteria
It would be great to be able to sort by one criterion first, then by a secondary criterion at the same time (much like in Excel you sort by multiple columns).

Copy Projects / Project Templates
How does Informant 𝘯𝘰𝘵 have this??
We need to be able to copy / duplicate entire projects along with all of their tasks and sub-tasks (or create a template without the due dates).. simply copying individual events or tasks is NOT enough! As a project can have dozens upon dozens of steps..Use cases:
Event & retreat organizers, authors working on books, teachers with lesson plans, fundraising campaigns for non-profits, movies, building projects, name it..2 votes -
Please make the date adopt the local format (dd/mm/yyyy) in Australia
I first began using Informant in 2012, but I have found the Informant Web unusable as the date format (mm/dd/yyyy) conflicts with everything on my computer in Australia (dd/mm/yyyy).
I have been asking Support to fix this since 16/07/2023 (07/16/2023). Five "Conversations" have been opened and closed without a response. (#138741, #141772, #142214, #142741, #143350).I would love to start using Informant again! Can this please be fixed?

Custom Edit Actions - i.e. change Due Date to next week
Provide more flexibility for the default actions when editing a Task. For example - change Due Date to “Next Week” which would move the due date out 7 days from the current day.

Easy time zone switching in calendar view
I would love if PI had the ability to quickly toggle between time zones in the calendar view. For people who travel a lot and book meetings in different time zones, it would be excellent. For example, if I’m in Frankfurt this week, but will be in Chicago next week and am trying to booking a meeting in Chicago time, switching time zones in the calendar would simplify this. The Apple native calendar app has this feature, so I end up using this app when I have to book events in another time zone. I wish I could do all…

Due date no longer defaults to the Focus View date when creating a Task
Due date no longer defaults to the Focus View date when creating a Task. This used to work in earlier versions and is no longer working as expected in 5.97

More Tab bar configuration options
I only use PI for events & tasks so I have lots of free space in the bottom menu bar. What would be really useful is if I could add addition buttons for direct access to different calendar views or task folders. EG I use ‘Days’ & ‘Month View’ in calendar all the time and switching between them takes 2 taps, if I could have another button configured specifically for ‘Days’ I could leave the multi-option button set to ‘Month View’ and could switch between them both with a single tap.

I like that you send about one a month but I missed the last couple.
Last December I contacted support about syncing informant with Microsoft Exchange and the suggestions did not work for me. It also said did not work with 365. So Sad ! Any Plans? I am going to post it as an idea.

Different icon sets for templates and for appointments within the App
When creating templates for appointments, you do not have access to the complete icon palette, unlike when creating an appointment. Please enable this for templates.

User-defined filters in Informant for MacOS
A game changer feature of Informant for iOS is the possibility to create and apply user-defined filters instead of checking/unchecking each calendar to display.
Why ?
Because when you have your whole life in Informant, you have necessarily various calendars : personal life, couple life, children, specific activities, professional activities, and calendars shared with other people.
And it is really more productive to be able to display with one touch only the children calendars or the professional ones at demand.My main issue with Informant for MacOS is that this feature doesn’t exist.

Modify event search function to use currently selected calendar filter
Currently if I search my calendar for an event with a name that is included in one of my contacts, the search function takes a long, and will first present a long list of birthday events for this contact before presenting any other information.
For example, if I want to search for my last meeting with “Fred”, before Informant shows any events with Fred, it will first present a list of birthdays for Fred which it calculates from Fred’s birthday in my contact database.
So I will get a long list like the following:Fred’s 1st Birthday

Fix the following issues in Android:
1) A more clear line between all day events 2) stop colors from reverting back to original colors. 3) when you hold down an event, and select "move" in the context menu, and change the date to another date, the event stays in the original date until you close the list of events on the bottom. Otherwise, it takes quite a while to refresh.

Provide some semblance of support
Twice I have raised an issue with support.
Each time I am promised a timely response to my issue.
Each time, after receiving no feedback for 2 weeks, I request an update.
Each time I am advised the support ticket has been closed.
Each time I have received no resolution or even an advice that me support ticket is closedI suggest you treat your customers with some sort of respect & provide support

Change time zone indication in Column Week view
In Column Week view the time zone takes up so much space that the event title is unreadable when it is only one hour. Either make the time zone smaller or allow the user to set how many hours are displayed so that there is more room for the event title.

Better custom tag color creation
When I create a custom Tag color the hue does not copy over correctly to the calendar. When creating a new custom tag color I have to go back and forth (between creating custom tag and calendar) at least 10 times to get the correct color on my calendar. I usually just give up and settle for a color. Very disappointing and a waste of my time

Reduce bottom bar height
In v5, please add an option to reduce the bottom bar height, so that some more space is available for showing tasks/events. The bottom bar is where you select the calendar, task, notes and contacts view.

Day separators on the Weekly View are much too high (thick).
The Day separators on the Weekly View are much too high (thick). They reduce the number of events that can be seen. It doesn't need to be that thick to press on it if needed.
If you feel some users like the Day of Week name that thick, you can build it both ways and allow a menu Settings selection to choose which view style the user wants.
