Hi, Thank you for your suggestion! We’re planning to look into this request and would love to understand your use case a little better.

Could you please share where in Pocket Informant you’re seeing Google Maps open instead of Apple Maps? If possible, could you also provide the steps you follow before the map opens? A screenshot or screen recording would be very helpful as well.

Thank you for helping us make Pocket Informant better. We look forward to hearing from you!

In order to be able to choose between Apple Maps and Google Maps, Google Maps must be installed on your iOS device. Then, tap the location in the saved event. Tap the pin on the Map. Then tap the car at the left side of the window that comes up. This will bring up the option to use Apple Maps or Google Maps in a window at the bottom of the screen.

Feature Request: Teams: Share Projects & Tasks with Others
We’re exploring a new feature for Pocket Informant on the Web that would allow users to create Teams making it easy to share projects, tasks, and responsibilities with others.

Whether you're planning with family, coordinating with coworkers, or collaborating with a group, this feature would let you:

Add people to a shared team

Assign and share tasks within projects

Collaborate in real-time inside Pocket Informant Web

Keep personal and team planning separate but streamlined

Let us know if this is something you'd use by voting and leaving your thoughts!

There are a few ways to share your data.

First, Pocket Informant requires a subscription to informant sync to access the connection bundle. It is the subscription to the connection bundle that allows Pocket Informant to sync to any of the services.

It is possible to share a single subscription. As part of any Informant 5 subscription you can use the Informant Sync service. If you haven't already please go to the following link and create your Informant Sync account. https://pocketinformantonline.appspot.com/signup

The add that sync account in the Informant Sync settings for each Informant 5 application that you wish to unlock and tap begin sync, the application will remain unlocked as long as the sync subscription is current. It doesn’t matter if you have different iTunes accounts, just that you login to informant sync with the same username on both devices.

Then it’s your choice how you want to share your calendars as all of the following options will be available:

Google calendar - You can sync with google and share your calendars. You would either login to the same google account on both devices, or login to your own google account and within your google calendar online choose to share a calendar with them. The data will then be available in informant through your google calendar sync in informant and your google calendar online.

Apple calendar - if you have the same apple ID your calendars will all be available in informant automatically. If you have different apple ID’s you would need to share a calendar from within your apple calendar app on each device with each other. That data would then be available in informant automatically through your apple calendar sync in informant and your apple calendar app.

Informant sync - If you choose to share a subscription - since you would be already logged into the same account on both devices, you are already sharing your calendar assigned to this account. You can create as many calendars as you want that are synced and if you choose, stop the sync to specific calendars the other doesn’t need access to. You can start/stop syncing to these calendars easily by going to informant settings>accounts>informant sync>calendars to use

That said, we also have some really exciting features coming to our Web platform later this year that will allow full calendar share!

    Hi there,

Thank you for this awesome layout suggestion! We love the idea of having a single day view on the left side with three vertical boxes on the right for Must Do, Goals, and Learned. It would definitely create a great balance between seeing the day’s schedule and capturing key thoughts and tasks. The addition of rich text support in those boxes is a great touch for flexibility.

We’ll definitely take this into consideration for future updates to make Informant even more customizable and tailored to your needs.

Thanks again for sharing such a thoughtful idea!

    Hi there,

    Great suggestion—thank you!

An “undo” feature would definitely be useful for those “oops” moments when things get accidentally changed or deleted. We’re always looking for ways to improve usability, and this is definitely something we’ll keep in mind for future updates.

Thanks again for sharing your idea!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the fantastic suggestion!

Being able to share a link to your calendar for booking, like Calendly, would be a great addition to Informant. It’s a smart way to make scheduling more streamlined, whether you’re sharing with colleagues or family. The ability to let your wife add family events directly to your calendar would also make shared planning so much easier.

We’ll definitely look into how we can add this feature, making calendar sharing and booking smoother for everyone.

Thanks again for sharing this idea!

    Hi there,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention—and I’m sorry to hear about the issue with the task template on your Galaxy S22 Ultra. It sounds like the top row being overwritten twice when creating a new task from a template is really disrupting your experience.

We definitely want templates to work smoothly, and this behavior isn’t what we expect. We’re looking into it and will prioritize fixing the issue so it functions properly.

Thanks for your patience, and we’ll keep you updated as we work on a solution!

    Hi there,

This is a fantastic idea—thank you for sharing it!

Creating shortcuts to frequently used contexts from the bottom toolbar would be a huge time-saver, especially for those using the GTD method. Being able to quickly access specific contexts without going through multiple steps would definitely streamline the process and improve overall efficiency.

We’ll definitely look into adding this as a feature to make Informant more intuitive and faster to navigate.

Thanks again for your valuable feedback!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the great suggestion!

Multi-select in search results would definitely make managing tasks, events, or notes much more efficient, especially when you need to act on multiple items at once. We can see how this would streamline your workflow, and it’s definitely something we’ll consider for future updates.

Thanks again for sharing your feedback—it helps us improve the experience!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for this great suggestion!

We completely agree that being able to edit sub-tasks and sub-checklist items directly from the Agenda and Task screens would make managing your tasks much more seamless. It would save you time and make it easier to stay organized without needing to navigate between multiple views.

We’re adding this to our list of potential improvements, and your feedback really helps us prioritize user-friendly features.

Thanks again for sharing this with us!

    Hi there,

Thanks for bringing this up! We completely agree that the Day separators in the Weekly View should be functional without taking up too much space, especially when you’re trying to view as many events as possible. The current thickness may be a bit overdone, and we can see how that could reduce visibility.

Offering a toggle in Settings to choose between a thicker or thinner separator makes a lot of sense and would give users more control over their view. We’ll definitely consider this as a potential update to improve customization.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts—we’re always looking for ways to make the experience more user-friendly!

    Hi there,

I’m really sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with custom tag colors—it sounds incredibly frustrating to have to jump back and forth between screens just to get the color to display correctly on your calendar.

This shouldn’t be happening, and I completely understand how it’s a waste of time when it’s not syncing properly. We’re already investigating this issue, and your feedback really helps highlight how important it is to have smooth and accurate color synchronization between tags and the calendar.

Thank you for your patience, and we’re committed to resolving this as quickly as possible.

    Hi there,

Thanks for sharing this great suggestion!

We completely understand how useful it would be to have Pocket Informant sync seamlessly with ClickUp, especially if it means you could manage your calendar and tasks smoothly between both platforms. The ability to view Pocket Informant’s calendar the same way on ClickUp would definitely improve workflow efficiency, and it’s something we’d love to explore.

We’re always looking at ways to improve integration with other tools, so your feedback is really valuable. We’ll keep this on our radar and see how we can make these platforms work better together.

    Thanks again for reaching out!

    Hi there,

This is such a fantastic idea, and we completely agree! Being able to create an event along with associated tasks (either on the same day or scheduled in advance) would be an absolute time-saver, especially for meetings or appointments that require follow-up actions like sending emails or making invoices.

We’ve heard similar requests before, and your detailed suggestion really helps us see how useful this functionality could be. We’ll definitely consider this for future updates, as it would streamline the process and make templates even more powerful.

Thank you so much for sharing this great idea with us!

    Hi there,

Thank you for pointing this out! We totally understand how frustrating it can be when the time zone takes up so much space, especially for shorter events. The event title should always be clear, and we agree that the time zone display is taking up more room than necessary.

We’ll definitely look into making the time zone label smaller or offer an option to adjust the number of hours shown to make the event title more readable. Your suggestion would improve the usability of the Week view, and we really appreciate you sharing it.

    Hi there,

Thanks for this great suggestion! We completely agree—being able to select templates directly from the “Add” button when creating a new event would definitely make the process quicker and more efficient. Templates are such a powerful tool, and making them easier to access will save time and improve the overall experience.

    Hi there,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention—and you're absolutely right. If you've selected Dropbox for auto backup and it's still saving locally, that’s not how it should work.

We’ve had a few reports of this behavior, and we’re currently investigating what’s causing the disconnect. Dropbox support is important to many users, and we want to make sure it's functioning reliably.

Really appreciate you flagging this—we’ll keep working to get it fixed.

    Hi there,

I’m really sorry to hear your Android version isn’t syncing properly—that’s incredibly frustrating, and we want to get it working the way it should.

Sync should be smooth and reliable across all platforms, and if it’s not, we’d love to take a closer look. When you have a moment, please reach out to our support team with a quick summary of what you’re seeing (and which sync method you’re using), and we’ll help you get it sorted.

Thank you for your patience—we’re here to help.

    Hi there,

Thanks so much for the thoughtful idea!

We love the concept of adding a checkbox to events and reminders—especially for those that feel more like action items. Being able to mark them as “done” right on the calendar makes perfect sense. Auto-rolling incomplete items to the next day is another smart touch that would help make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

We’re adding this to our list of feature considerations, and your input really helps us think through how to make Informant even more action-focused and user-friendly.

    Appreciate you sharing it!

    Hi there,

Thank you for the great suggestion!

We totally understand wanting to use your preferred navigation app—especially one like Waze that factors in real-time traffic and alerts you when it's time to leave. Giving users the option to choose their map app for directions is a smart improvement, and we’re actively looking into how we can support more flexibility in this area.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share what works best for you!
