Hi Informant Team,
I have a feature suggestion that could greatly improve workflow efficiency for users who sync Informant with Google Tasks.
Currently, when I swipe a task in Informant to add a "Star" (or mark it as a priority), this visual indicator is only visible within the Informant app. Since Google Tasks does not natively support Informant's internal starring system, these tasks look exactly the same as normal tasks when viewed on a PC or other Google Tasks clients.
My Suggestion:
Would it be possible to add an option that automatically inserts a star symbol (★) or a special character at the very beginning of the task title when a user swipes to star a task?
How it would work:
1 A user swipes a task in Informant and selects the "Star" icon.
2 Informant automatically updates the text from ⁠"Review contract"⁠ to ⁠"★ Review contract"⁠.
3 When this task syncs with Google Tasks, the star symbol in the title will sync naturally, making it immediately recognizable as a priority task on PC/Google Tasks web views.
4 Unstarring the task would automatically remove the symbol from the title.
This minor feature/option would bridge the gap between Informant's advanced UI and Google Tasks' limited metadata syncing, providing a seamless cross-platform experience.
